The Will of Magic: cultivating willpower and spiritual fitness for pagans and magicians.

Few things are as important in the practice of the esoteric arts as the cultivation of our most fundamental instrument: the spirit itself. In magic especially, the development of a strong spirit is essential. Spiritual health forms the foundation that supports and sustains the magical will. At times, the body may fail us and the mind may dull or decline. The spirit, however, need not do either. It can be strengthened and exercised just as the body can be.This workshop will introduce spiritual fitness from a uniquely pagan perspective; teaching methods for gaging your own spiritual fitness level on any given day, simple practices to strengthen your spirit, cultivating magical willpower, and a whole-soul approach to leading a magical life.

It offers meaningful insight into behavioral challenges, emotional needs, or possible sources of discomfort. Most importantly, it strengthens the bond of love and trust between you and the animals who share your life. In this workshop, you’ll learn how intuitive listening can reveal the subtle messages your animals are always sending. Telepathy is not a replacement for veterinary care, but it can beautifully complement your understanding by helping you sense their feelings, needs, and perspectives. You’ll explore practical tools for quieting the mind, opening the heart, and reconnecting with a skill that humans have carried for millennia—one still used by many Indigenous cultures to communicate with wildlife in respectful partnership.You’ll also discover how love, compassion, and trust in yourself are essential parts of this process. Developing telepathic communication begins with honoring the bond you already share and allowing your natural intuition to reawaken. As you deepen your confidence and connection, you’ll cultivate a richer, more harmonious relationship with your animal companions—one built on mutual understanding, presence, and genuine heart-to-heart communication.

“Thou Art God/Goddess” falls from our lips automatically and the litany of ritual moves forward, but do we hear and understand this phrase intimately? What reminds us of our relationship with the divine? Is it, truly, a relationship? We have looked into the eyes of our people in circle and easily said those words, but then they fall forgotten when we look at ourselves. In this class we’ll develop the power of these words and develop something new and personal to carry with you. But what real meaning do they hold for you, tired at the end of the day or checking your finances twice? Do we believe ourselves – in our hand-me-down jeans and old T-shirts – that we are the God/dess spoken of in circle? Join me as we explore a facet of the intimate connection with deity and with ourselves. Please bring a notebook, drawing/sketching implements for exercises.

Attendees will examine their personal divinity and then sketch/draw/describe the ways of worship for their divine selves: colors, representations, element, offerings, a statue and rituals to summon and work with their own divine presence.

Experiencing Loving Contact with Deities and other Spirits for healing of our Hearts and Minds

We will connect with loving and healing spirits through our bodies’ subtle senses, evocative imagery, breathwork, polyvagal stimulation, self-massage, movement, and music. Participants will get to experience these practices that can stand alone or can be integrated with other spiritual practices. I recommend that participants wear comfortable, layered clothing to deal with temperature variability, and bring something soft to sit on if they find the chairs uncomfortable, water, if permitted, and a journal to record their experiences.

This guided ritual will lead you to encounter each element in its full, embodied expression to illuminate your innate gifts and anchor them into your body for you to carry from here forward. You’ll use breathwork, visualization, sound, opening and closing movements, and sensation to experience and meet the spirit and sacred form of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit.
