Presenting at Spirit Northwest 2026:
Crafting a Therapy Ritual: Using Your Magic to Support Your Inner WorkAbout Me:
I’m a psychologist, educator, and program director working at the intersection of ethics, inclusion, and access in mental healthcare and professional education.
I am a cofounder of
PATH (paganaffirming.com), a platform dedicated to helping clients find mental health providers who affirm pagan and other marginalized spiritual identities. PATH exists to reduce harm, increase transparency, and make it easier for people to locate care that aligns with both their clinical needs and spiritual values.
I’m currently writing a book exploring how marginalized spiritualities, ritual, and meaning-making can be ethically and responsibly integrated into mental healthcare.
At the heart of all my work is a simple belief: affirming, ethical care is a skillset that can be taught — and access to it should never be a privilege.I’m the founder of
StorieBrook Therapy & Consulting, an affirming therapy practice rooted in justice-oriented, culturally humble care for sexual, gender, and relationally diverse (SGRD) communities, neurodiverse folks, fat and disabled clients, and people from marginalized spiritual and pagan paths. My clinical work emphasizes collaborative, client-led care and reducing systemic barriers through accessible practice models.
I am also the founder of
The StorieBrook Foundation for Mental Health Access, a nonprofit initiative focused on expanding access to affirming mental healthcare and supporting community-based pathways to care for marginalized individuals. The Foundation’s work centers sustainability, equity, and collective responsibility for care beyond individual clinical settings.
I'm co-founder and Program Director of StorieTree Professional Education, where I design and oversee continuing education programs for mental health professionals. My work centers ethics, consent, cultural humility, accessibility, and building professional frameworks that support marginalized clients without relying on performative inclusion. I specialize in APA-aligned CE development, instructional design for adult learners, and translating complex ethical standards into practical, usable tools for clinicians.
