Where the Olympian gods radiated order, justice, and cosmic clarity, the dark tradition lingered at the thresholds: in caves and crossroads, in necromantic chambers, in whispered spells scratched into lead and cast into tombs. This is Skia, the dark current of Indo-Greek witchcraft and sorcery: a current of shadow, of secrecy, of awe, and of dread. The dark tradition is often perceived as dangerous. It is the work of those who understood that the gods, daimons, and restless dead could be communed with as well as worshipped; that words, symbols, and offerings could bend the unseen forces toward human will. In this lecture you will encounter Hekate, Persephone, Typhon and Hermes Chthonios: understanding their role in true shadow workings. You will learn of the history surrounding our dark tradition in the areas of: Nightside Theurgy, Necromancy & Daimonic invocations, Curse Tablets, Pharmakon, Vampirism & Vampiric Traditional Religion, Chthonic Sacrifices, the Athanatonekroi, and more. The Dark Tradition is not marginal; it exists in the same breath as temple ritual and philosophical discourse. In the great cosmopolis of Alexandria, Greek, Egyptian, and Near Eastern strands fused together into a unique and obscure curriculum of gnosis. To walk this path is to acknowledge the ambivalence of power. Magic, as the Greeks knew, is pharmakon: both remedy & poison, healing and harm. This is our Dark Tradition - Not a rejection of Hellenic religion, but its other face: the one that speaks in whispers, under the moon, in the places between life and death.
